SSWI Seeks Cleaning System

SSWI is currently seeking proposals for design-install of a new cleaning system to remove compost from aluminum to be recycled.

SSWI operates a 350 ton per day co-composting facility.  All waste is processed to create compost from the organic fraction.  The remainder material is film plastic, glass, plastics, tin and aluminum.  These inorganics will be taken to a residual recycling system to be sorted for recycling.

Once the materials are sorted, the recyclables need to be processed through a cleaning system to increase the commodities' values for recycling.

This project is in part funded through a grant by the State of Tennessee.  The successful proposer must be in compliance with Title VI.

SSWI will receive proposals until 10:00 am, Friday, July 14, 2017, where they will be publicly opened in the office of Sevier Solid Waste.  For the complete RFP and Instructions, please click here.
